المستخلص: يعتبر المدخل الوقائي من الاتجاهات الحديثة نسبيا في مهنة الخدمة الاجتماعية بصفة عامة وفي في العالم العربي والدول النامية بصفة خاصة. ويستخدم الأخصائي الاجتماعي هذا المدخل من قبل حدوث المشكلة وذلك بهدف منعها من الظهور أو تجنب حدوثها فيقوم بمساعدة الأفراد والجماعات والمنظمات والمجتمعات على اكتساب المهارات الوقائية للحماية والوقاية من مختلف المشكلات. فالخدمة الاجتماعية عندما تضع الأهداف الوقائية في مجال اهتمامها وتستخدم في ممارستها قبل وقوع المشكلة لا تمثل رد فعل للمشكلات - كما في المدخل العلاجي -يساعد الأخصائي الاجتماعي على توفير الوقت والجهد والتكاليف والعبء العلاجي، ويسعى هذا البحث إلى إلقاء الضوء على المدخل الوقائي من منظور مهنة الخدمة الاجتماعية، وإلقاء الضوء على المدخل الوقائي من منظور مهنة الخدمة الاجتماعية يؤكد على أهمية هذا المدخل في توفير الوقت والجهد والتكاليف عند ممارسة هذه المهنة، ويوضح كيف للأخصائي الاجتماعي ممارسة هذا المدخل لمساعدة الناس والعملاء على تجنب وقوعهم في براثن المشكلات والانحراف والجريمة والإدمان والإرهاب ... والبحث الحالي عرض لتعريف مفهوم الوقاية والمدخل الوقائي وأسس وإجراءات ومحاور المدخل الوقائي ودرجات الوقاية. وفي نهاية البحث تم تقديم عدد من التوصيات لمزيد من الاهتمام والتعليم والبحث والممارسة للمدخل الوقائي في مهنة الخدمة الاجتماعية.

The preventive approach is one of the relatively recent trends in the social work profession in general and in the Arab world and developing countries in particular, The social worker uses this approach before the problem occurs, with the aim of preventing it from appearing or avoiding its occurrence. Social work assists individuals, groups, organizations and societies to acquire preventive skills for protection and prevention of various problems, Social work, when it sets preventive goals in its field of interest and is used in its practice before the occurrence of the problem, does not represent a reaction to problems - as in the therapeutic approach - it helps the social worker to save time, effort, costs and the therapeutic burden, This study seeks to shed light on the preventive approach from the perspective of the social work profession. Shedding light on the preventive approach from the perspective of the social work profession confirms the importance of this approach in saving time, effort and costs when practicing this profession, and explains how the social worker can practice this approach to help people and clients avoid falling into the clutches of problems, delinquency, crime, addiction and terrorism. The current research presented a definition of the concept of prevention, the preventive approach, the foundations, procedures, axes of the preventive approach, and degrees of prevention, At the end of the research, a number of recommendations were presented for more attention, education, research and practice of the preventive approach in the social work profession.
