هذا البحث مقارنة بين الشاعر الإنجليزي وليم وردزورث والشاعر العربي نزار قباني. وهي من الدراسات الجديدة التي جمعت وردزورث في قصيدة "الشوكة" مع قباني في قصيدته "الحامل". يكشف هذا البحث عن المعاني الإنسانية المشتركة وبيئة الشعراء المختلفين التي تعكس رؤيتهم لقضية واحدة. ويتم خلال البحث عرض بعض أقسام قصيدة وردزورث ثم عرض قصيدة على القبور وبعد عرض القصيدتين وتحليل كل قصيدة يتم أجراء المقارنة بينهما وشرح النتائج في أسباب التشابه. واختلاف قصيدة الين الياباني رغم الفروق الاجتماعية للشعراء. المقارنة بين الشاعرين، المنهج الدراسي الأمريكي، والذي قد يفتقر إلى دراسة المصادر التحليلية للقصيدتين، لأن القصتين لم يتم تناولهما من قبل الباحثين بشكل واحد أو بطريقة مقارنة، وهذه هي الدراسة الأولى التي تربط بين القصيدة. الشعراء في الأدب المقارن والدراسة الأولى تربط هذين إصبعين شوكة وحامل. بعد التحقيق والدخول في البحث، انتهى البحث بوضع بعض النتائج في مواجهة أوجه التشابه والاختلاف في القصيدتين.
This research is a comparative between the English poet William Wordsworth and the Arab poet Nizar Qabbani. It is one of the new studies that combines Wordsworth in the poem "The Thorn" with Qabbani in his poem "Pregnant".
