المستخلص: يتناول البحث رصد وسرد للمعلومات التاريخية والجغرافية والسياسية والاجتماعية عن بلاد تهامة وتحديدًا في كتب التراث، وتشمل الحدود المكانية للبحث من جنوب مكة المكرمة شمالًا إلى مدينة زبيد جنوبًا، مع التنويه عل أهمية تلك المعلومات في الدراسات التاريخية الحديثة والمعاصرة وارتباطهما العلمي المباشر. ويتناول البحث الحديث عن بلاد تهامة من حيث الوضع الجغرافي، والحالة السياسية، والحالة الاجتماعية، وما ورد حول تلك الموضوعات من معلومات في كتب التراث والتي بدروها ستكون أساسًا علميًا لجميع الدراسات التاريخية الحديثة والمعاصرة. والهدف من البحث: يهدف البحث إلى الوقوف على أهم المصادر والمراجع التي تناولت الحديث عن بلاد تهامة الممتدة من جنوب مكة شمالًا إلى مدينة زبيد جنوبًا، والواقعة على ساحل البحر الأحمر الشرقي، وتدوين كل ما من شأنه إفادة الباحث في الدراسات التاريخية الحديثة لا سيما ما يتعلق بأسماء الأماكن والشخصيات علاوة على ذكر الأحوال السياسية والاجتماعية فيها. ومشكلة البحث: تحتاج الدراسات التاريخية الحديثة التي تتناول الحديث عن تاريخ تهامة في العصر الحديث والمعاصر على بعض المعلومات الأساسية للتعريف بمنطقة وحدود الدراسة والمصطلحات المتعلقة بها، لذا أتت أهمية هذا البحث. والمنهج المتبع: البحث يتبع المنهج التاريخي التحليل بإيراد المعلومات وتحليلها والتعليق عليها. وقد توصل الباحث إلى النتائج الآتية: أهمية الرجوع إلى المصادر الأولية وكتب التراث في الدراسات التاريخية الحديثة. ضرورة تحديد منطقة الراسة من حيث الحدود الجغرافية والرجوع إلى كتب التراث في التعريف بأسماء الأماكن الأصلية. تزخر كتب التراث بكم هائل من المعلومات الشاملة لكافة الجوانب العلمية لذا كان لزامًا على كل باحث العودة إليها. وأما التوصيات فهي ضرورة إعداد قائمة ببلوجرافية لكل دراسة تاريخية لتكون مرجعًا مختصرًا لمصادر موضوع البحث. وضرورة الاهتمام بكتب التراث وتنقيحها باعتبارها موردًا أساسيًا في الحصول على المعلومة التاريخية. وارتباط التاريخ الحديث والمعاصر بكتب التراث ارتباطًا مباشرًا كأحد مقومات الأبحاث الرصينة.

The research deals with the monitoring and narration of historical, geographical, political and social information about the country of Tihama, specifically in the heritage books, and it includes the spatial boundaries of the research from the south of Makkah Al-Mukarramah in the north to the city of Zabid in the south, while noting the importance of this information in modern and contemporary historical studies and their direct scientific connection. The modern research deals with the Tihama country in terms of the geographical situation, the political situation, the social situation, and the information on these topics in the heritage books, which in turn will be a scientific basis for all modern and contemporary historical studies. The aim of the research: The research aims to identify the most important sources and references that dealt with talking about the country of Tihama, extending from the south of Mecca in the north to the city of Zabid in the south, and located on the eastern coast of the Red Sea, and codifying everything that would benefit the researcher in modern historical studies, especially with regard to place names. And personalities, in addition to mentioning the political and social aspects of the situation. And the research problem: Modern historical studies that deal with talking about the history of Tihama in the modern and contemporary era need some basic information to define the area and the limits of the study and terms related to it, so the importance of this research came. Approach: The research follows the historical-analytical method by providing information, analyzing it, and commenting on it. The researcher reached the following results:. The importance of referring to primary sources and heritage books in modern historical studies. The necessity of defining the study area in terms of geographical boundaries and referring to heritage books in defining the names of the original places. Heritage books abound with a huge amount of comprehensive information on all scientific aspects, so it was necessary for every researcher to return to them. As for the recommendations, it is necessary to prepare a bibliographical list for each historical study to be a short reference for the sources of the research topic. And the necessity of paying attention to heritage books and revising them as an essential resource in obtaining historical information. The link between modern and contemporary history with heritage books is a direct link as one of the components of solid research.
