This article provides an analysis of the spatio-temporality of two novels by the French speaking Algerian writer Malika Mokeddem, which are: Mes Hommes and Je Dois Tout à ton Oubli. It is about questioning the construction and deconstruction of temporality as well as the exploitation of geographical space and the space internalized in the two novels. Our objective is to highlight the process by which the spatio-temporal fragmentation is reflected in the light of the linguistic and narrative tools implemented in the text. The analysis requires a vacillation between modernity and tradition, because we rely mainly on some concepts developed by the critic George Poulet and certain elements of the geocriticism of Bernard Westphal. We also appeal to the phenomenology of poetic images by Gaston Bachelard to identify the symbolism of some spaces. Cet article propose une analyse de la spatio-temporalité de deux romans de l’écrivaine algérienne d’expression française Malika Mokeddem à savoir : Mes Hommes et Je Dois tout à ton oubli. Il s’agit d’interroger la construction ou/et la déconstruction de la temporalité ainsi que l’exploitation de l’espace géographique et l’espace intériorisé dans lesdits romans. Notre objectif est de mettre en relief le processus selon lequel se traduit l’éclatement spatio-temporel, à l’aune des outils linguistiques et narratifs mis en œuvre dans le texte. L’analyse nécessite un vacillement entre modernité et tradition, car nous nous appuyons principalement sur quelques concepts élaborés par le critique George Poulet et certains éléments de la géocritique de Bertrand Westphal. Nous faisons appel également à la phénoménologie des images poétiques de Gaston Bachelard pour cerner la symbolique de quelques espaces. |
