المستخلص: سنسعى من خلال هذه المساهمة وانطلاقا من إشكالية بحث تدور حول خصوصية التحكم في مورد الماء بمدينة تيديس الرومانية، إلى البحث عن الأنظمة والتقنيات التي استعملت لأجل التموين بهذا المورد الحيوي، هذا بالإضافة إلى تقصي واستكشاف الوسائل والأساليب المعتمدة في عمليات جمعه وتخزينه، وهو ما يدفعنا بالضرورة إلى تحري طرق تسييره واستغلاله داخل المدينة. كل هذا وبطبيعة الحال سيكون بعد التعريج في بداية البحث عن الخصوصية التضاريسية الوعرة والاستثنائية للمدينة، هاته الخصوصية التي صعبت من عملية التزود بهذا المورد الذي كاد أن يكون مستحيل المنال، على خلاف ما عرفته مدن أثرية أخرى، وهو الأمر الذي أضاف للموضوع نوعا من التميز كما أعطاه أهمية خاصة.

We aim through this contribution and starting from a problem centered on the nature of the control of water resources in the Roman city of Tiddis, to research the systems and techniques that have been used to supply the city with this vital resource, and to explore the means and methods adopted to collect and store water, what motivates us to investigate the ways of managing and exploiting it within the city. These stages of study will only be done after having studied the specificity of the difficult and exceptional terrain of this city, which made it difficult to supply this resource which was almost impossible to reach. All this gave the subject a special importance and multiplied its value.

Nous visons à travers cette contribution et en partant d'une problématique centrée sur la nature de la maîtrise des ressources en eau dans la ville romaine de Tiddis, à chercher d’une part les systèmes et les techniques qui ont été utilisées pour approvisionner la ville en cette ressource vitale, et à explorer les moyens et les méthodes adoptées pour collecter et stocker l'eau d’une autre part, ce qui nous motive à investiguer les manières de le gérer et de l'exploiter à l'intérieur de la ville. Ces étapes d’études ne se feront qu’après avoir étudié la spécificité du terrain difficile et exceptionnelle de cette ville, ce qui a rendu difficile l'approvisionnement de cette ressource qui était presque impossible à atteindre. Tout cela a donné au sujet une importance particulière et a multiplié sa valeur.
