المستخلص: The legal reserve ratio is an indirect monetary instrument communicated to the banking system by monetary authorities, and it usually affects the behavior of financial institutions, including banks, with the goal of short-term monetary management. The banking system is the primary conduit for monetary policy. The impact of the components of monetary policy instruments on the performance of commercial banks in Mena countries, particularly Iraq, is examined in this article. The threshold vector autoregression (TVAR) method and quarterly data from 2013 to 2018 were used for this. The maximum likelihood method was used to test the nonlinearity of the econometric model first. According to non-linear and regime-dependent test statistics, the influence of monetary policy and inflation on the return on assets, net profit margin, cost-to-income ratio, and output. The volume of loans granted by state and non-state banks, as well as the gross domestic product, were confirmed. The one-threshold orthogonal logarithm test was then used to accept the model. This template's threshold value was calculated using the network search method. Finally, generalized instantaneous response functions are used to investigate the effects of monetary policy and inflation.
