The conflict in Western Sahara, considered a "non-autonomous territory" by the UN, has pitted Morocco against the Sahrawi separatists of the Polisario Front, supported by Algiers, for decades. The geopolitics of the crisis has made it possible to observe perpetual changes in the positions adopted by the disputes involved, directly or indirectly in its resolution, and which have been due to the evolution of the incidents which impact international relations. A politico-historical analysis is therefore essential to clearly identify the international dimensions of such a crisis which continues to weaken the positions of Westerners, Europeans and the United States, in the fight against terrorism, especially in the Sahelo area. – Saharan. The war in Ukraine had direct implications for the foreign policies of the parties to the conflict, the case of Morocco being the best example.
Le conflit du Sahara occidental, considérée comme un "territoire non autonome" par l'ONU, oppose depuis des décennies le Maroc aux indépendantistes sahraouis du Front Polisario, soutenus par l’Algerie. La géopolitique de la crise a permis de constater des changements d’attitude adoptée par les différends acteurs impliqués, directement ou indirectement dans sa résolution, et qui ont été dues à l’évolution des incidents qui impactent les relations internationales. Une analyse politico- historique est alors indispensable pour bien cerner les dimensions internationales d’une telle crise qui continue d’affaiblir les positions des Occidentaux, des Européens et des Etats-Unis, dans la lutte contre le terrorisme, surtout dans l’espace Sahélo – Saharien.. La guerre en Ukraine avait des incidences directes sur les politiques étrangères des parties au conflit, le cas du Maroc en fait le meilleur exemple.
