المستخلص: واجهت مراكش أزمة حادة تتعلق بتزويد ساكنتها بالموارد المائية الكافية، وخاصة من أجل سقي البساتين والجنات التي ضمتها المدينة أو كانت بمحاداتها، ومن أجل ذلك فقد سخرت مختلف إمكانياتها بغية توفير ما يلزم من هذا المورد النفيس. لقد انتقلت مراكش من مرحلة الخصاص والشح اللذان انعكسا على نوعية نباتها الذي كان السدر والحنظل، إلى مرحلة الوفرة والفيض، فتحول بذلك المشهد العام للمدينة وصارت قبلة للسكان بعد أن كانت خلاء موحشا يطير الطير فوقها ويسقط من شدة العطش. وذلك بفضل تسخير تقنيات ووسائل مختلفة، برهنت من خلالها المدينة على قدرتها في تطوع المجال الذي صار أخضرا يانعا يوفر الحاجات الضرورية لعيش السكان.

This contribution comes within the framework of the openness of historical research to new topics that have until recently been neglected. Research in the history of water is a response to liberating history from the dominance of classical topics that dominated historical production for a period of time, and to engage in the renewal and expansion of this very important field of knowledge. Through which, we aspire to shed more light on the human past in order to fill in many voids created by the neglect of such topics. The study and understanding of the past can only be accomplished by examining those fields related to the daily living of the Moroccan person, and knowing how to manage the water crises that the Moroccan city has known, which is at the heart of that. Through this study, we seek to interrogate historical texts in order to understand how the city of Marrakesh during the Almoravid era dealt with the water resource crises, which it faced during its founding, as its founders chose a place away from the major waterways in view of a set of political and strategic factors, and they were forced On adapting the field to turn from a desolate desert to a green field, it was rare to find its counterpart in the Middle Ages.
