المستخلص: Private equity is an alternative financing channel designed to meet the needs of SMEs and start-ups. It is a peculiarity that has nothing to do with traditional sources. Indeed, it consists of financing without guarantee, in the form of an often minority stake in the capital of unlisted companies, in order to strengthen its equity and support it throughout the duration of the partnership. The objective of this work is to shed light on this profession, to highlight its theoretical and technical aspects and to situate it in the Algerian context, and moreover, to see if it constitutes an interesting source of financing for SMEs in perpetual quest for funding.

Le capital investissement est un canal de financement alternatif ayant l’objet de répondre aux besoins des PME et des Start-ups. C’est une particularité qui n’a rien à voir avec les sources traditionnelles. En effet, Il consiste à un financement sans garantie, sous forme d’une prise de participation souvent minoritaire dans le capital des entreprises non cotées, afin de renforcer leurs fonds propres et de les accompagner tout au long de la durée du partenariat. L’objectif de ce travail est d’apporter un éclairage sur ce métier, de mettre en exergue ses aspects théoriques et techniques et de le situer dans le contexte algérien, et par ailleurs, voir s’il constitue une source de financement intéressante aux PME en quête perpétuelle de financement.
