المستخلص: Introducing the author: Abu al-Abbas Ahmed ibn Ahmed known as Mennat Allah al-Shabsi al- Maliki al-Azhari, Shaykh al-Islam, Hidayat al-Anam, the sign of the age, the argument of the age, the conclusion of the applicants, and the rest of the working scholars. He was born in 1213 AH. He took from Shaykh Muhammad al-Amir al-Kabir and those in his class and agreed with Shaykh Muhammad al-Amir al-Sagheer, Shaykh Jabir and Shaykh ‘Abd al-Jawad al-Shabsi, and from him he took the creation of many of them: Shaykh Hasan al-’Adawi al-Hamzawi, Shaykh Harun ibn ‘Abd al-Razzaaq, and most of the scholars of al-Azhar. He has many books, including A treatise on the basmala, a treatise on all sciences, and Ujala fi lafz Al Jalala containing twenty-five questions, and a treatise on achieving the legal quorum for zakat called Tahrir Al Mithqal Al Muradif lil Dinar wa Al Dirham.
