|a تتناول الدراسة عرضا لكتابات الرحالة والجغرافيين العرب عن الأوضاع الاجتماعية والاقتصادية بمدينة أصفهان خلال العصر الوسيط وقد تطرقنا في البداية لتسمية المدينة والتفسيرات المقدمة حول أصلها، مرورا بالفتح الإسلامي لها والروايات التي تناولت أحداثه، ثم الأوضاع الاجتماعية كعناصر السكان والديانات المنتشرة بها ومظاهر الحياة من أطعمة وملابس وسكن، والاحتفالات بالأعياد والمناسبات، لننتقل بعد ذلك للحديث عن الأوضاع الاقتصادية بعناصر الأساسية الثلاث: الزراعة، الصناعة والتجارة.
|b This study offers a thorough overview of the writings of Arab travelers and geographers on the economic and social conditions of the city of Isfahan during the middle ages. First, we address various explanations of its name origins, then we dealt the Muslim conquest of the city and the different historical narratives of that event. We also dealt with the social and economic situations, forms of religiosity, foods and clothing, and social occasions. Then, we highlighted the economic status and its main elements: agriculture, industry, trade.
