|a يعتبر الحق في الصحة من الحقوق الأساسية التي نصت عليها العديد من المواثيق الدولية العالمية منها والإقليمية على غرار الإعلان العالمي لحقوق الإنسان والعهد الدولي الخاص بالحقوق الاقتصادية والاجتماعية والثقافية، وباعتبار الحق في الصحة هو حق محوري يرتبط ببقية حقوق الإنسان فقد لعبت العديد من الوكالات والهيئات دوراً كبيراً في مجال حماية هذا الحق منها منظمة الصحة العالمية، ومنظمة صندوق الأمم المتحدة للطفولة (يونيسيف) كما تم إدراجه في ضمن الاتفاقيات والمواثيق الإقليمية كالميثاق الإفريقي لحقوق الإنسان والشعوب، والميثاق الاجتماعي الأوروبي.
|b The right to health is one of the fundamental rights enshrined in many international, universal and regional instruments like the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights. The right to health is a pivotal right that is closely related to other human rights that’s why many agencies and organizations, like the World Health Organization and the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (U.N.I.C.E.F), played a major role to protect it. This latter was also included in regional agreements and charters such as the African Charter on Human and People’s Rights and the European Social Charter.
