خلصت الدراسة إلى أن الإسلام يحث على العمل ويأمر كل إنسان قادر على العمل وينبذ البطالة والفاقة كمدعاة للفقر والعوز وتعطيل الإنتاج. كما أن العمل والكسب المشروع والسعي للرزق الحلال مكرمة للإنسان ومرضاة للرب ومنفعة للمجتمع وإشباع للحاجات المنضبطة بالأحكام الإسلامية وتفضيل الإنفاق الإنتاجي على الإنفاق الاستهلاكي ومن ثم أعطى الإسلام الأفضلية للعمل المشروع على العبادة كما أن الإسلام دين عمل ومعاملة وإنتاج وإعمار للأرض وإصلاح للأوضاع الاقتصادية للمجتمعات ويكفل الحقوق والواجبات وتوزيع الثروة للأفراد بعدالة. كما توصلت الدراسة إلى أهم النتائج الآتية أن نسبة معدلات العمل بالولاية بلغت 36% من إجمالي سكان الولاية من النوعين الذكور والإناث حيث بلغت نسبة العمل عند الذكور 20% وعند الإناث 10%. كما بلغت العطالة عند الإناث 48% وبلغت نسبة معدلات الفقر 55% بالنسبة لولاية النيل الأبيض مقارنة بنسبة معدلات الفقر بالسودان التي بلغت 46%. وأيضًا خرجت الدراسة بالتوصيات الآتية: يجب على حكومة الولاية السعي لإقامة المشروعات التي تكفل العمل وتوفر فرص واسعة للعمل كمشروع الخريج المنتج والتمويل الأصغر للأسر المنتجة وإيجاد فرص كافية لاستيعاب أكبر قدر من العمالة من أجل القضاء على البطالة والفقر والعوز وحث إنسان الولاية على العمل كقيمة دينية واجتماعية.
