المستخلص: عرض البحث لأقوال العرب في كتاب المرتجل لابن الخشاب، في شرح الجمل لعبد القاهر الجرجاني، فجمعها من كتابه، ووثقها، وبين وجه الاستدلال بها، ومنهج ابن الخشاب في التعامل مع أقوال العرب، وقد صاغ البحث هذه الأقوال في صورة مسائل نحوية مرتبة وفق ترتيب ابن مالك للألفية، وقد شرحت هذه المسائل وفق المنهج التالي: ذكر كلام ابن الخشاب المتضمن للقول نصا أو مضمونا، بعد أن أضع عنوانا للمسألة التي يدخل تحتها القول، وذكر الشاهد النحوي في هذا القول، ثم أذكر أراء العلماء فيها ورأي ابن الخشاب، ثم أذكر الرأي الراجح فيما يبدو للباحث. وقد جاء البحث في مقدمه وتمهيد، وثلاثة مباحث، وخاتمة، أما المقدمة فقد ذكرت فيها أسباب اختيار الموضوع، وأهمية الكتابة فيه ومنهج البحث، والدراسات السابقة، وأما التمهيد فقد عرفت فيه بابن الخشاب، وبعبد القاهر الجرجاني، وبأقوال العرب، أما المباحث فهي كالتالي: المبحث الأول: (الكلام وما يتألف منه، والمعرب والمبني، والنواسخ، ونائب الفاعل)، والمبحث الثاني: (الحال، وحروف الجر، والمدح والذم، والتوابع)، والمبحث الثالث: (التحذير، وإعراب الفعل، والاستفهام والوقف). وأما الخاتمة فقد ذكرت فيها أهم النتائج، ومنها: 1- جمع وإحصاء أقوال العرب في شرح ابن الخشاب على جمل عبد القاهر الجرجاني. 2- بين البحث أهمية أقوال العرب كمصدر من مصادر اللغة، وشاهد من الشواهد، وذلك من خلال دراسة المسائل النحوية التي استدل لها ابن الخشاب بأقوال العرب. 3- أثبتت الدراسة مع ذلك قلة استشهاد ابن الخشاب بأقوال العرب، متابعة للقدامي، فإنه لم يستشهد إلا بخمسة عشر قولا، وردت في ثلاث عشرة مسألة.

The study highlights citing the quoted Arab sayings in Ibn Ul-Khashab’s Al-Murtajal (The Improvised), in his reading of Abd Ul-Qaher Al- Jurjani’s Sharh al-Jomal (Explaining Sentence Patterns) with reference to Ibn Ul-Khashab’s methodology in compiling, documenting, and interpreting these sayings. This study collected and documented quoted Arab sayings in Alphyatu Ibn Malik’s (Ibn Malik's one thousand-line poem in Arabic grammar) thematic order. Taken in its grammatical context, the researcher makes use of them as grammatical proofs for linguistic grammar. they are arranged according to Alphyatu Ibn Malik’s thematic order. Implicitly or explicitly mentioned, those sayings are thematically classified and explained highlighting grammatical quotations in each. The researcher provides all grammatical points of view in each one, including that of Ibn Ul- Khashab, underscoring the most likely one to the writer. This study comes into a preface, an introduction, three chapters and a conclusion. In the preface the researcher points out the importance of the topic, the previous literatures, his methodology and the most important reasons behind the choice of the topic. In the introduction, the study briefly introduces really Ibn Ul-Khashab and Abd Ul-Qaher Al-Jurjan as great Muslim scholars and well-known grammarians, furthermore, what’s meant by Arab sayings. First chapter deals with Arab sayings related to the Declinable, the Indeclinable and Subject Nouns. In the second chapter, Arab sayings related to Verbs of praise and blame, Adverb and vocative are highlighted. In the third chapter, the study displays Arab sayings related to the Verbs of Waring and Declinable Verb. In the conclusion, the researcher states the most important findings of the study and his recommendations which could be summarized as following:- Compiling and numerating the sayings of the Arabs in Ibn Ul-Khashab’s Al-Murtajal (The Improvised), in his commentary on Abd Ul-Qaher Al- Jurjani’s Sharh al-Jomal (Explaining Sentence Patterns). 2- The study shows the importance of Arab sayings as linguistic and grammatical quotations and how they are used by Ibn Ul-Khashab. 3- The study proved, however, that Ibn Ul-Khashab, as well as ancient Arab grammarians, rarely cited the sayings of the Arabs, as he only cited fourteen in thirteen grammatical problems.
