|b The financial manipulations witnessed by the major international companies have shaken the confidence of investors en shareholders alike, which prompted researchers to search for ways to enhance the governance of companies and consolidate the principles of transparency and independence in the management of companies, especially those listed on the Stock Exchange. In the midst of these successive crises, the principle of separation of powers emerged as a mechanism of democratization of joint-stock companies and ensuring their good governance and efficiency in their management by putting an end to conflicts of interest and strengthening oversight over managers.
