|b The objective of this study is to highlight the effects of globalization on welfare. In order to explore these effects, the study chooses some indicators to analyze the effects of globalization on it. These indicators are: standards of living, employment, distribution of wealth among people, role of the state, education levels, health levels, democracy levels, human rights and effects on ecology. The study argues that the negative effects of globalization exceed the positive effects, which means that welfare has been decreased because of globalization and its instruments. The study concludes with (discovered) some facts that pointed out the negative effects of globalization (with regards to welfare) worldwide, and especially on the least developed countries. The study also tried to introduce an Islamic evaluation of globalization and welfare, as well as the strategies available for Islamic countries to deal with globalization, and the assurances that keep welfare at its best levels. The study consists of four chapters: the first chapter emphasizes on the concept of globalization, its objectives, history, instruments or tools and the reactions toward it. In chapter II, the study emphasizes on welfare, state of welfare, and welfare indicators. Chapter III, the body of the study, tries to analyze the effects of globalization on welfare indicators. The final chapter IV, introduces and Islamic evaluation for globalization, welfare and strategies. The study ends with some conclusions, one of which is that: "the Islamic economy is more capable to provide the best levels of welfare for individuals, as well as communities".
