البحر حاضر أبدا في ذاكرة كتاب القصة والرواية وبخاصة أولئك الذين تربوا بين أحضانه وعلى شطانه، يرتبطون به كما يرتبط الجنين بأمه عبر حبل السرة، بمعنى أنه مركز مرجعي يغذي إبداعاتهم بحكاياته الكثيرة لتنعكس على حياة الشخوص ومخيلتهم قديما وحديثا بما هو خرافي ومثير وعجائبي، ترويه الجدات والأمهات، ليظل عالقا بمخيلة المبدعين منهم ليتخذوا منه مادة للإبداع في الزمان والمكان المتعينين، وبذلك لن يكون ثمة مبالغة عندما يجتمع كتاب القصة ليعبروا عن محبتهم لبحرهم في مجموعة قصصية مشتركة في المجموعة الأولى التي أصدرها اتحاد كتاب وأدباء الإمارات "كلنا، كلنا نحب البحر" ليتحول هذا البحر المحبوب إلى ممارسة ثقافية معبر عنها إبداعيا عبر أقلام أبناء الصيادين والغواصين والتجار الذين تعلموا من آبائهم محبة واحترام البحر، وفق وجهة نظره سواء كانت تقليدية أو حداثية.
The sea is ever present in the memory of writers of stories and novels, especially those who were raised in its arms and on its shores. They are linked to it as the fetus is linked to its mother through the umbilical cord, meaning that it is a reference center that nourishes their creativity with its many tales to be reflected on the lives of the characters and in the narrative and suggestive moment, in addition to the rhetorical image and investigative description. As an indicative space that colors the background of the scene or the image taken in a specific time and place with its blue, there will be no exaggeration when the story writers gather to express their love for their sea in a joint short story collection in the first group issued by the Emirates Writers Union «We All, We All Love The Sea». They have transformed this beloved sea and have turned it into a cultural practice that is creatively expressed through the pens of the sons of fishermen, divers and merchants who learned from their parents the love and respect of the sea in the past and present, and each according to his point of view, whether it was traditional or modern.
