المستخلص: هذا البحث في الإمام الواقدي المتفق على إمامته في المغازي والسير والتاريخ، أما في الحديث فقد اختلفت فيه أقوال الأئمة جرحا وتعديلا، فمنهم من وثقه مطلقا، ومنهم من ضعفه ضعفا ينجبر، ومنهم من اتهمه بأعلى التهم. حتى ظن كثير من الباحثين أن هذا الإمام الكبير رجل متروك أو متهم بالكذب؛ بناء على ما جاء من أقوال النقاد الذين تشددوا في جرحه، دون أن يلتفتوا إلى بقية أقوال الأئمة الموثقين له ممن عاصروه وعرفوه من شيوخه وأقرانه وتلاميذه؛ حتى تصح أقوالهم وتسلم موازينهم. وقد جاءت هذه الدراسة لبيان مرتبة الإمام الواقدي المختلف فيه جرحا وتعديلا على القول الراجح؛ وذلك من خلال عرض أقوال المحدثين ومناقشاتها وبيان قيمتها العلمية، وقد اشتمل هذا البحث على مقدمة، وخمسة مباحث، وخاتمة. أما المقدمة فكانت في أهمية البحث وخطته، وسبب اختياره، والدراسات السابقة، ومشكلة البحث ومنهج البحث. وأما المبحث الأول: فكان في التعريف بالإمام الواقدي، وبيان مكانته العلمية. والمبحث الثاني: فكان في التهم التي رمى بها الواقدي في الحديث، والجواب عنها. والمبحث الثالث: فكان في أسباب أخرى جرح بها الواقدي. المبحث الرابع: فكان في مرتبة الإمام الواقدي عند المحدثين. المبحث الخامس: نماذج تطبيقية من مرويات الإمام الواقدي رحمه الله تعالى. وكان من أهم ما أظهرته الدراسة أن الإمام الواقدي ليس كذابا ولا وضاعا ولا متروكا؛ وإنما كان إماما في السير والمغازي بلا مدافعة، أما في الحديث فهو في مرتبة الضعيف الذي يعتبر حديثه في المتابعات والشواهد.

This research in Imam Al-Waqidi agreed on his Imamate in Maghazi, Sir and history, but in the hadith has differed in which the sayings of the imams wound and modification, some of them documented absolutely, and some of them weakness is a weakness forced, and some of them accused him of the highest charges. Many researchers even thought that this great imam is a man who is abandoned or accused of lying, based on what came from the statements of critics who hardened his wound, without paying attention to the rest of the statements of the imams documented by him who contemporaneous with him and knew him from his sheikhs, peers and disciples, so that their statements are correct and their scales are received. This study came to show the rank of Imam Al-Waqidi in which the difference wound and modification to the most correct saying, through the presentation of the sayings of the modernists and discussions and the statement of their scientific value, this research included an introduction, five sections, and a conclusion. The introduction was the importance of the research and its plan, the reason for choosing it, previous studies, the research problem and the research methodology. The first topic: was in the definition of Imam Al-Waqidi, and the statement of his scientific status. The second topic: it was in the charges thrown by Al-Waqidi in the hadith, and the answer to them. And the third topic: it was in other reasons wounded by Al- Waqidi. The fourth topic: It was in the rank of Imam Al-Waqidi when the modernists. The fifth topic: applied models of narrations of Imam Al- Waqidi- may God have mercy on him. One of the most important things that the study showed was that Imam Al-Waqidi is not a liar or a lowly or abandoned, but he was an imam in Sir and Maghazi without a defender, but in the hadith he is in the rank of the weak, whose hadith is considered in the follow-ups and evidence.
