المستخلص: يتناول هذا البحث دراسة وتحقيق رسالة تتضمن سؤالات وألغازا في علم القراءات رواية، وهي لشيخ قراء دمشق الإمام: برهان الدين إبراهيم بن محمد العمادي، الملقب بابن كسبائي (المتوفي سنة 1008 ه)، حيث إنه لما حل بأدرنة اختبرهم بسؤالات عشرة، ولم يعرف أكثرهم الجواب، ثم سألوه الإفادة، فأجابهم إلى مطلوبهم، وهي من باب الاختبار والألغاز، يتفطن لها من كان متبحرا في هذا العلم، مدركا لوجوهه، ودقائقه، وجزئياته. وقد تتلمذ ابن كسبائي على أكابر علماء عصره، ورحل في طلب العلم، حتى غدا شيخا للإقراء في دمشق، وتتلمذ عليه من تصدر للإقراء، وغدا شيخا للإقراء بالشام، وجمع- مع علم القراءات- علوما أخرى، وقد ظهرت مكانته العلمية في هذا الفن من خلال اختياره لنوع الأسئلة، ودقة موضوعاتها. وقد قسمت البحث إلى مقدمة، ومبحثين، وخاتمة، أما المقدمة: ففيها أهمية الموضوع، وأسباب اختياره، ومشكلة البحث، وأهدافه، والدراسات السابقة، وخطة البحث، ومنهجه. وأما المبحث الأول، فيحتوي على مطلبين: الأول: دراسة المؤلف، وفيه: اسمه، ونسبه، ولقبه، ومولده، وشيوخه، وتلاميذه، ومكانته العلمية، ووفاته، وآثاره، وفي المطلب الثاني: تحقيق عنوان الكتاب، وتوثيق نسبته إلى مؤلفه، ومصادره، ومنهجه، ودراسة النسخة الخطية، ويتضمن المبحث الثاني تحقيق نص المخطوط كاملا، ثم ختمت البحث بذكر أهم النتائج والتوصيات، مع فهرس للمصادر والمراجع. وقد سلكت في قسم الدراسة المنهج التاريخي الوصفي التحليلي، ثم حققت النص كاملا ملتزما بالمنهج العلمي في التحقيق، والعزو، والتوثيق.

This research includes a study and critical edition of a treatise that contains questions and riddles in the science of Qur’anic modes of recitation (Qiraa’aat) and their transmission. It is by the Sheikh of the Reciters of Damascus, Imam Burhan ad-Deen Ibrahim ibn Muhammad al-Emadi, who was known as Ibn Kasba’i (d.1008 AH). When he came to the city of Edirne, he tested the people therein with ten questions and most of them did not know the answers. They then asked him for the answers, and he gave them what they wanted, but it was in the form of tests and riddles that could only be understood by someone who was deeply versed in this science and aware of its various aspects, subtleties, and particulars. Ibn Kasba’i was a student of the greatest scholars of his time, and he traveled in search of knowledge until he became a sheikh of Qur’anic recitation in Damascus. Pre-eminent students then learned from him, and he eventually became a sheikh of Qur’anic recitation for the whole of the Levant. He acquired knowledge of other sciences along with his knowledge of the Qur’anic modes of recitation, but he attained his high rank in this field because of the types of questions he chose and the accuracy and precision of their subject matter. I have divided the research into an introduction, two chapters, and a conclusion. As for the introduction, it contains the importance of the topic, the reasons why it was chosen, the research problem and its objectives, previous studies, and the research plan and methodology. As for the first chapter, it contains two discussions. The first discussion is a study of the author, and it covers his name, lineage, title, birth, sheikhs, students, his rank in knowledge, his death and his works and writings. The second discussion comprises the verification of the book’s title and the documentation of its attribution to its author along with the sources and the methodology employed. There is also a study of the handwritten copy. The second chapter comprises a critical edition of the entire manuscript text. I then concluded the research by mentioning the most important findings and recommendations, followed by a bibliography. In the study, I followed the analytical, descriptive, historical approach. I then produced a critical edition of the entire text, adhering to the scientific method regarding critical editions, attribution, and documentation.
