المستخلص: |
Land has always been of great importance in the Palestinian cause, especially since the Zionist occupation adopted land confiscation policies to bring about demographic change. The British Mandate era over Palestine is considered one of the most dangerous historical stages for the Palestinian territories, as Britain pledged to create a national home for the Jews in Palestine. Accordingly, Britain enacted and manipulated laws to serve Zionist goals in Palestine. This era’s importance is highlighted by the emergence of laws and legislations to organize lands in Palestine, which gave the High Commissioner the right to dispose of Palestinian lands, which later gave way to Israeli settler colonialism, a policy that remains the same till this day. |
