يهدف البحث إلى دراسة الإمكانيات المناخية المتوافرة في منطقة الدراسة ومقارنتها بالمتطلبات اللازمة لنمو المحاصيل الحقلية (القمح والشعير) من أجل معرفة مدى التوافق بين الإمكانات والمتطلبات اللازمة لزراعتها، حيث يؤدي التوافق إلى تشجيع ونجاح زراعة هذه المحاصيل. ومن خلال إجراء التحليل الإحصائي للتباين بين عناصر المتطلبات المناخية لمحصولي القمح والشعير والإمكانيات المناخية المتوفرة في منطقة الدراسة ظهرت مجموعة من المؤشرات أهمها هو عدم وجود تباين بين المتطلبات والإمكانات في معدل درجة الحرارة والمدة الضوئية والرطوبة النسبية والحرارة المتجمعة وهذا يؤشر الملاءمة المناخية بين الإمكانات والمتطلبات لمحصولي القمح والشعير في هذه العناصر وبالتالي يؤكد تشجيع ونجاح زراعتها، بينما أظهرت كمية الأمطار الساقطة عدم كفايتها في توفير المتطلب المائي لهذه المحاصيل، كما أن سرعة الرياح اعلى من حاجة هذه المحاصيل.
