المستخلص: دور موضوع البحث على جمع أقوال عبدالله بن أحمد بن حنبل في الجرح والتعديل ومقارنتها بأقوال النقاد، فإنه يهدف إلى إظهار منزلة عبدالله بين نقاد الحديث، وبيان أقواله في الجرح والتعديل، والوقوف على المصطلحات التي تفرّد بها، والتّعرف على أحوال الرواة الذين تكلّم فيهم. ويستقرئ البحث جميع المصادر الأصلية وغير الأصليّة التي هي مظانّ وجود أقوال لعبدالله، وسلك الباحث منهج الاستقراء في تتبع أقوال عبدالله بن أحمد وجمع المادة العلميّة، وكذلك سلك منهج التحليل لعرض معالم منهج عبدالله في الجرح والتعديل. وتوصّل الباحث إلى نتائج علميّة من أبرزها: الوقوف على تسعة وثلاثين قولًا لعبدالله مدونة في المصادر تدلّ على اعتداله ودقة وصفه، كما تنوعت ألفاظ الجرح والتعديل عنده تبعًا لمنهجه، وكان من النتائج ظهور اعتدال عبدالله بن أحمد من خلال عباراته وأقواله. ومن المؤمل أن يكون البحث مرجعا مفيدا في المكتبة الحديثية.

The topic of the research revolves around collecting the sayings of Abdullāh bin Aḥmad bin Ḥanbal on Jarḥ wa Tadīl (Discrediting and Crediting), compared to the opinions of the critics, it seeks to manifest that position of ‘Abdullāh among the critics of hadith, and to explain his statements on al-jarḥ wa ta’dīl, and to discover the terminologies that were unique to him, and to be acquainted with the statuses of the narrators and those who made statements regarding them . The research conducted a comprehensive reading of all primary and secondary literatures that are possible sources for the statements of ‘Abdullāh, and the researcher followed the inductive method in tracking the statements of ‘Abdullāh bin Ahmad and in compiling the scientific material, and also followed the analytical method in presenting the landmarks of the methodology of ‘Abdullāh on al-jarḥ wa ta’dīl . The researcher arrived at scholarly findings, the most prominent of which include: discovering 39 statements attributable to ‘Abdullah documented in the sources, which point to his moderateness and precision of his description, also the wordings of al-jarḥ wa ta’dīl of ‘Abdullāh vary based on his methodology, and among the findings is the manifestation of the moderateness of ‘Abdullāh bin Aḥmad, through his expressions and statements. And it is expected that the research will be a beneficial source for the
