المستخلص: Colonization is a domination of one the two binaries over the other. It affects the identity, which is a dynamic process of being and becoming, of both the colonized and the colonizer. Under every colonization, identity is prone to continuous change. However this fluctuating will make the Other loss his sense of belonging, he does not know to which world he belongs to the world of the colonizer or the world of the colonized, he is in state of homelessness. Kareem Sheghaidil is an Iraqi Playwright. He is one of the playwrights who returned to Iraq after the invasion of America in 2003. His Play Cartoon Dreams, explore the disfiguration and distortion in Iraq post 2003. This article aims to shed light on the homelessness and losing the sense of belonging of the Iraqis to their country.
