تكون عودة الشاعر إلى المرجعية البيئية أبسط ما يكون من الروافد الشعرية الأخرى، كون المادة الخام متوفرة في كل مكان وزمان ويستطيع المبدع الحصول عليها دون المغامرة في بطون الكتب وتعرجات التاريخ في سبيل اكتساب ثقافة معينة يرفد بها خزينه المعرفي والثقافي وتؤهله إلى خلق فكرة معينة تخدم قصيدته، ويبقى الشعراء الفئة البشرية الأمثل التي أبدعت كل الإبداع في تضمين مظاهر الطبيعة بكافة أنواعها، بوصف ممزوج بخيال واسع ورقة العاطفة والمشاعر الجميلة متمثلة بالألفاظ البيئية الطبيعية، أحد الوسائل التي يعبر عن طريقها المبدع عما يدور في خياله، وترغب به نفسه، فيخرجه للوجود مصحوبا بنفس موسيقي ولمسة فنية وصور احترافية، ولذلك حظيت الطبيعة باهتمام الشاعر عارف الساعدي بكافة تفرعاتها البيئية، فعمل على انتقاء ما يتلائم والواقع الذي يعيشه، حيث عمد إلى صبغها بدلالات عديدة، وهو في استدعائه لمظاهر الطبيعة يسعى إلى عدة أمور ويتطلع إلى جملة من الاتجاهات أهمها الخروج من واقعه إلى واقع أجمل رسمه في نصوصه الشعرية ومظاهر الجمال والبهاء هذه هروبا من واقعية البيئة، أو هي إظهارا لبراعته وتمكنه ومقدرته على تحويل الماديات الطبيعية إلى صور شعرية معبرة، أو بث الجمال في نفس القارئ أو المتلقي، ولذلك وجدنا الشاعر عارف الساعدي قد وظف الطبيعة أجمل توظيف ضمن نصوص شعرية يتخللها نفس موسيقي جميل وصورة فنية رائعة، وقد أظهرت الدراسة ثقافة الشاعر الواسعة وتمكنه من هضم روافد الطبيعة وتحويلها إلى نصوص أدبية جميلة.
