بدأت الإرهاصات الأولى للسيميائية مع العالم اللغوي دي سوسير، الذي ربطها بعلم اللغة، وحدد ماهيتها بدراسة العلامات في دلالاتها الاجتماعية، وتمثلت العلامة اللغوية لديه في الربط بين الصورة الصوتية والمعنى، بين الدال والمدلول، وبين اللفظ والدلالة، وفيما يخص الصورة الصوتية فالكلام ليس مجرد أصوات توضع إلى جانب بعضها البعض لتكون جملاً مفيدة، بل هو يحتاج إلى فن النطق الذي يكشف القناع عن معانيه ودلالته؛ لذا يمثل الأداء جانباً مهماً من جوانب اللغة المنطوقة، عرفه تشومسكي بأنه "الاستخدام الفعلي للغة في مواقف محددة"، كما أنه أكد أن هناك جانبين لا مناص من الاهتمام بهما لفهم اللغة الإنسانية هما؛ القدرة اللغوية (linguistic - competence) والأداء اللغوي الفعلي (linguistic performance)، وهذا ما جاء به وأكده دوسوسير ومن قبله ابن جني والجاحظ، وإن اختلفت المصطلحات، من هنا جاءت فكرة هذا البحث بعنوان (سيمياء الأداء الصوتي في ملحمة المشكاة لأحمد بخيت) دراسة تطبيقية، والذي تناولت فيه الملامح الأدائية للشاعر أحمد بخيت، وذلك باستخدام برنامج برات (praat) للتحليل الفيزيائي للصوت، وتضمن البحث جانبين أساسيين هما: أولاً: الإطار النظري للأداء (النبر، التنغيم، التزمين، الإيقاع، الوقف). ثانياً: الدراسة التطبيقية لسيمياء الأداء في ملحمة المشكاة لأحمد بخيت.

Second: The applied study is the semiotics of performance in the saga of Al -Mishkat of Ahmed Bakhit.
