| 520 | |b This study aimed at investigating the impact of implementing the Intercultural approach on developing descriptive writing skills of a group of 54 secondary stage students from one of Cairo language schools. The quasi-experimental design called the non-equivalent group design was employed in the present study where two intact classes were randomly selected to represent both groups. The experimental group received training through the proposed Intercultural approach activities for developing descriptive writing sub-skills, while the control group received traditional instruction. A pre/post writing test was given to the two groups before and after the treatment. The results revealed that the experimental group outperformed the control group in the descriptive writing skills. This proved that the Intercultural approach, not only developed participants' writing skills, but also raised their cultural awareness. | ||
