المستخلص: هدفت الدراسة إلى تقييم تنافسية الصناعة المصرية خاصة قطاع الصناعات الغذائية خلال الفترة (2000- 2017) من خلال إتباع المنهج الوصفي والتحليلي لمؤشرات التنافسية الصناعات الغذائية المصرية وأيضا تقييم وضع مصر في مؤشرات التنافسية بالنسبة لكلا من الابتكار، والتمويل، التعليم، التسويق، التكنولوجيا وأخيرا الزراعة خلال تلك الفترة، وقد توصلت الدراسة إلى أن التسعير من العوامل الأساسية التي تؤثر على تنافسية قطاع الصناعات الغذائية ويليه الجودة من العوامل الأساسية التي تؤثر على تنافسية قطاع الصناعات الغذائية. كما توصلت الدراسة إلى تراجع الأهمية النسبية للتعليم والتكنولوجيا والابتكار على مستوى التنافسية العالمية، وذلك نتيجة عدم توافر الإنتاج المحلي وزيادة الاتجاه إلى الاستيراد من الخارج وأيضا عدم مواكبة الهيئات التعليمية والبحث والتطوير مع باقي مؤشرات دول العالم. كما توصلت الدراسة إلى تراجع مصر في مؤشرات التكنولوجيا الفائقة بسبب عدم توافر أحدث التكنولوجيا مقارنة بالدول ذات الترتيب الأعلى في مؤشر التنافسية العالمية. وأيضا توصي الدراسة بضرورة الاهتمام بالتكنولوجيا والتمويل لتحسين مستوى الإنتاجية الصناعات الغذائية وضرورة الاهتمام بالجودة لزيادة الصادرات الصناعات الغذائية وأخيرا ضرورة الاهتمام الابتكار في إنتاج الصناعات الغذائية من خلال البحث والتطوير.

The study aimed to assess the competitiveness of the Egyptian industry, especially the food industries sector, during the period (2000-2017) by following the descriptive and analytical approach to the indicators of competitiveness in the Egyptian food industries, as well as evaluating Egypt's position in the competitiveness indicators in terms of innovation, financing, education, marketing, technology and finally agriculture. During that period, the study concluded that pricing is one of the main factors affecting the competitiveness of the food industry sector, followed by quality as one of the main factors affecting the competitiveness of the food industry sector. The study also found a decline in the relative importance of education, technology and innovation at the level of global competitiveness, as a result of the lack of local production and the increase in the tendency to import from abroad, as well as the failure to keep pace with educational and research and development institutions with the rest of the indicators of the world. The study also found that Egypt’s decline in high-tech indicators Because of the lack of the latest technology compared to the countries ranked higher in global competitiveness indicators. The study also recommends the need to pay attention to technology and financing to improve the level of productivity of the food industry, and the need to pay attention to quality to increase food industry exports, and finally the need to pay attention to innovation in the production of food industries through research and development
