المستخلص: Every year, Egypt produces and imports large quantities of e-waste. Although the amount is high, the formal recycling activities are low and formal recyclers mainly operate on a small scale. The reason behind this is the absence of a formal system for e-waste collection, which is the initial point for a successful e-waste management system. In addition, there is no specific entity or financing mechanism to handle or manage e-waste, where the involvement of producers is very limited or inexistent compared to Europe and other developed countries. In this context, the study aims to identify the key determinants of e-waste proper management in Egypt that can exploit e-waste opportunities and avoid any negative consequences associated with their improper management on people, resources, and planet. Using convenience sampling method, a total number of 570 questionnaires were distributed and collected from various electronics users in Great Cairo area, where SPSS techniques was employed to analyse the collected data. Based on the research findings, Extending producer/importer responsibility (EPR), Integrating both formal and informal recycling sectors activities (FISI), Government intervention (GI) and Consumer's awareness and behavior (CAB) were supported as key determinants for e-waste proper management in Egypt, where their integration was advocated by 78.9% of the respondents.
