المستخلص: جميلة بوحيرد المناضلة الشهيدة الحية، أيقونة الثورة الجزائرية، ابنة بلد المليون ونصف المليون شهيد، تحدت المحتل الفرنسي بصبرها وشجاعتها، قاومت أبشع أساليب التعذيب الروحي والنفسي والجسدي، لم تخش مقصلة الاحتلال الفرنسي عند إعلان عقوبة الإعدام على مسامعها، بل صرخت في أعلى صوتها "نموت وتحيا الجزائر"، فأصبحت أنموذجا حيا للإنسانية جمعاء بأن تحرير الشعوب المظلومة ورفع نير وظلم الاحتلال يتطلب الكثير من التضحيات، ومن هنا جاء هذا البحث لتسليط الضوء على المناضلة جميلة بوحيرد من حيث: حياتها، صفاتها الشخصية، استعراض مختصر لنشاطاتها الفدائية وكيفية مقاومتها للاحتلال الفرنسي، ومن ثم بيان أهم أعمالها ونشاطاتها بعد التحرر والاستقلال حتى الوقت الحاضر، مع التركيز على توجهاتها ومبادئها وقيمها ومواقفها تجاه قضايا حقوق الإنسان ورفع الظلم والمعاناة عن الشعوب، وموقفها من القضية الفلسطينية، والتطبيع مع الكيان الصهيوني، واستعراض الجوائز التقديرية التي حصلت عليها تكريما لتضحياتها، وبيان مدى الدعم الحكومي الذي يتلقاه المجاهدون بعد الثورة الجزائرية، بواسطة المعلومات الواردة في المذكرات والكتب والصحف العربية والمقالات، باستخدام المنهج التاريخي القائم على الوصف والتحليل والاستنتاج.

Djamila Bouhired, the fighting living martyr, the icon of the Algerian revolution, the daughter of the country of one and a half million martyrs, challenged the French occupier with her patience and courage. She did not fear the guillotine of the French occupation when the death penalty was announced on her ears. Instead, she shouted as loud as she could, "We die but long live Algeria". As a result, she became a living example for all humanity that the liberation of oppressed peoples, and lifting the injustice of the occupation requires a lot of sacrifice. Hence, this research came to shed light on the activist Djamila Bouhired in terms of her life, her personal qualities, and a brief review of her freedom fighting activities while resisting the French occupation. Also, a display of her most important work and activities after liberation and independence until the present day is included. The research’s main sucof is on Bouhired’s orientations, principles, values, and attitudes towards human rights issues and the elimination of injustice and suffering from the peoples. Additionally, her position on the Palestinian cause and normalization with the Zionist entity is discussed. Moreover, the research includes a demonstration of the awards she received in honor of her sacrifices, as well as the extent of government support received by the Mujahideen after the Algerian revolution. Using the historical method based on description, analysis, and conclusion, the research uses information contained in personal memoirs, books, as well as Arabic newspapers and articles.
