|a التغيرات المناخية وأسبابها قضية تقض مضاجع الدول والحكومات والمنظمات وعلماء الدين في القرن الواحد والعشرين. وذلك لعواقبها الوخيمة كالفيضانات وموجات الحر والجفاف وانتشار الأوبئة والأمراض، فضلا عن ملايين النازحين والمشردين. اهتمت هذه الدراسة بدراسة مدى وعي ودراية السكان القطريين بالتغيرات المناخية. كشف البحث الكمي (الاستبانة) للدراسة أن الجهود الدولية والحكومية الغير كافية في المناهج الدراسية، والدورات والتدريبات، والموعظة الدينية، ووسائل الإعلام ساهمت في قلة أو غياب الوعي والدراية في المجتمع القطري. الدول والشركات والأفراد جميعا مشتركون في المسؤولية لاتخاذ الخطوات في الحد من الأسباب المؤدية للتغيرات المناخية. قضية التغيرات المناخية لا تقتصر على المجتمع القطري فحسب بل تمتد لكافة المجتمعات.
|b Climate change, and its causes, is an issue that deeply concerns governments, organisations and religious scholars in the twenty-first century. This is due to its severe consequences that includes: floods, heat waves, drought, the spread of disease and the displacement of millions. This study focuses on examining the awareness and knowledge of the Qatari population on climate change. Quantitative research in this study revealed that Qataris lacked knowledge or awareness due to insufficient international and governmental efforts in school curricula, courses, religious sermons and in the media. States, companies, and individuals all share responsibility to initiate action to reduce the consequences of climate change, it is not limited to Qatar but extends to all societies.
