المستخلص: إن درجة التحضر العالية في نظام العصرنة الجديد أحدثت وراءها مشاكل متعددة داخل بيئة المدينة ومنها التلوث البصري الذي أثر بشكل كبير على شكان المدينة من خلال المناظر غير الجذابة التي أدت إلى تشوه منظر المدينة، بينما هذه المناظر تسبب الانزعاج وعدم الراحة والقلق للإنسان على المدى الطويل بحيث يفقد الحس والجمال من حوله، وتحويل البيئة التي يعيش فيها الإنسان إلى مكان يعج بالعناصر السلبية التي أدت إخفاء الصور الجمالية من كل شيء، وظهور أمراض نفسية وجسدية تؤثر على حياة الإنسان اليومية. وقد تضمن البحث مقدمة والإطار النظري مع مبحثين، إذ تضمن المبحث الأول أشكال التلوث البصري ومصادره وقياسه. أما المبحث الثاني الأضرار النفسية الناتجة عن التلوث البصري، اختتم البحث بمجموعة من النتائج والمقترحات.

The high degree of Urbanization in the new modernization system caused multiple problems with the city environment , including visual pollution , which affected the city residents in always though the an attractive scenery the let to the distortion of the city land scaps and cause the inconvenience, discomfort and anxiety of the human in the long run, so the only the aesthetic sense around him and transforming the environment in which the person lives, a place full of negative elements that led to the concealment off the aesthetic images from everything and the emergence of mental and physical diseases that affect human daily. The research included three dealt with an introduction, the theoretical framework forms of visual pollution, its sources and its measurement. The two topic dealt with the psychological damage to the city's residents. The research concluded with asset of result and proposals the most important of which is the lack of attention to the problem of visual pollution by the responsible authorities , especially the city administration , which responsible for managing the uses of the land to develop solution for all, manifestations of visual pollution in the city of Kadhimiya.
