|a هدفت الدراسة إلى إلقاء الضوء على الصورة الفنية في شعر الرثاء عند الشاعر الكويتي خالد الفرج، ورصد أهم مصادرها ودراستها دراسة تقوم على أساس الربط بينها وبين موضوعات الرثاء، وانسجامها معها، وتصنيف أبرز أنواع تلك الصور وأنماطها المتعلقة بالحواس والتشخيص، معتمدة التحليل الموضوعي متكاملا مع المنهج الفني؛ لما لهما من دور في إبراز موضوعات الصورة وخصائصها الفنية، وربطها بمعاني الرثاء، وخلصت إلى أن الفرج نجح في توظيف الصورة كعنصر بنائي في شعره، وكانت وسيلته في التعبير عن تجربته وعواطفه، وأكسبت نصوصه حركية وحيوية، من خلال قابليتها التأويل المفضي إلى إدراك إيحاءاتها ودلالاتها.
