تتناول الدراسة دور السياسة الخارجية الهندية نحو رابطة "بيمستيك" من خلال تطوير علاقتها بالتجمعات الإقليمية لتدعيم دورها في النظام الدولي، حيث تمثل الرابطة أهمية استراتيجية بالنسبة للهند للصعود باعتبارها قوة إقليمية في القارة الآسيوية؛ لذا تهدف إلى تدعيم العلاقات وتوسيع النشاط التجاري بين بلدان الرابطة لزيادة نطاق نفوذها السياسي والاقتصادي، وتستعرض الدراسة تطور السياسة الخارجية الهندية، والنمو الاقتصادي للهند، هذا بالإضافة إلى التعريف بالرابطة وأهدافها ومدى ثقلها الاقتصادي والاستراتيجي بالنسبة للتكتلات الاقتصادية، وسياسة الهند الخارجية تجاه الرابطة لتفعيل دورها في القارة الآسيوية، والتحديات التي تواجهها. وقد توصلت الدراسة إلى أن نجاح التعاون الاقتصادي بين أعضاء رابطة دول بميستيك يعتمد بشكل كبير على قدرة الدول الأعضاء على تفعيل الاتفاقيات البينية بينها وحل الخلافات السياسية بينها من جانب، ومدى قدرة الحكومة الهندية على مواجهة التحديات السياسية والاستراتيجية والاقتصادية لتحقيق أهدافها بدعم التعاون الإقليمي في القارة الآسيوية من جانب آخر.
The study deals with the role of the Indian foreign policy towards the "BIMSTIC" League by developing its relationship with regional groupings to strengthen its role in the international system, as the Association represents a strategic importance for India to rise as a regional power in the Asian continent, so it aims to strengthen relations and trade between the countries of the Association to increase the scope of its political and economic influence. The study reviews the development of Indian foreign policy, the development of India's economic growth, in addition to introducing the association and its objectives and the extent of its economic and strategic weight in relation to economic blocs, India's foreign policy towards the association to activate its role in the Asian continent, and the challenges it faces. The study found that the success of economic cooperation among the members of the Association of "BIMSTIC” countries depends greatly on the ability of the member states to activate the inter-agreements between them and solve the political differences between them on the one hand, and the ability of the Indian government to face political, strategic and economic challenges to achieve its goals of supporting regional cooperation in the Asian continent from another side.
