المستخلص: تتخذ هذه الدراسة من أثر الحرب في النفس البشرية موضوعًا لها، وتحديدًا الأثر النفسي للحرب العالمية الأولى في الإنسان، وتعتمد في دراسة ذلك على "Bir Tereddüdün Romani": رواية تردد" للكاتب التركي بيامي صفا (1899-1961م)، وتقف الدراسة على مفاهيم الأثر النفسي، والحرب العالمية الأولى، وتعرف بالكاتب وبأهم أعماله، ثم تعرف بالرواية، وبفكرتها الرئيسة وتلخصها، وتتناول شخصياتها وزمانها ومكانها بالدراسة كي يتسنى تحديد ذلك الأثر، بحيث يمكن القول إنه صار أمراضاً يعانون منها. ومن تلك الأثار التي حدثت في نفس الإنسان أنه صار يعاني القلق والخوف الشديد مما لا يستدعي خوفًا بالأساس، ومن ثم يشعر بالاكتئاب، واضطرب نفسيًا وعقليًا، مما تطور في صورة تردد شبه دائم في اتخاذه قراراته في شتى مجالات حياته، وامتد الأمر إلى الدول وإداراتها فصارت تتأرجح بين اليسار واليمين، ومختلف الأيديولوجيات، الرأسمالية والشيوعية، فلم تتردد الإنسانية بقدر ما حدث بعد عام 1918م، على حد وصف الكاتب، وكان من أسوأ تلك الآثار النفسية محاولة البعض الانتحار، بل وانتحار البعض بالفعل، وتحلل الأخلاق واندثار القيم، واختلال الفطرة البشرية، فصار العزوف عن الزواج؛ أحد نتائج الحياة العبثية التي هيمنت على فئات مهمة من المجتمع من بينها المثقفون والفنانون والأدباء؛ حيث اللهو والسكر والمجون... وهذا بطبيعة الحال من جملة النتائج التي توصلت إليها الدراسة، وبينما يعرض الكاتب للأثار النفسية للحرب ويحللها، يقدم أيضًا حلولًا للتخلص والتعافي منها... وثمة روايات تركية أخرى تناولت الحرب وأثرها في النفس موضوعاً لها، من أبرزها ثلاثية الروائي مصطفى سبتجي أوغلى (1932-2006م): "... Ve: Çanakkale والدردنيل" التي نشرت عام 1989م.

This study takes the impact of war on the human psyche as its subject, specifically the psychological impact of the First World War on the human being, and relies in studying that on "Bir Tereddüdün Romanı: A Novel of Hesitation" by the Turkish writer Peyami Safa (1899-1961). The study stands on the concepts of: psychological impact and the First World War, and introduces the writer and his most important works, then introduces the novel, its main idea, and summarizes it. Among those effects that occurred in the human psyche is that he suffers from anxiety and intense fear of what does not necessitate fear in the first place, and then he feels depressed, and becomes psychologically and mentally disturbed, which developed in the form of almost permanent hesitation in making his decisions in various areas of his life, and the matter extended to countries and their administrations and became Oscillating between the left and the right, and the various ideologies, capitalism and communism, humanity did not hesitate as much as what happened after 1918, as the writer described, and among the worst of those psychological effects was the attempt of some to commit suicide, and some even actually committed suicide, and the decomposition of morals and the disappearance of values, and the imbalance of human nature, So the reluctance to marry became; One of the results of the frivolous life that dominated important groups of society, including intellectuals, artists, and writers. Where fun, drunkenness and promiscuity... This is, of course, among the findings of the study. While the writer presents and analyzes the psychological effects of war, he also offers solutions to get rid of and recover from it... There are other Turkish novels that dealt with war and its impact on the psyche as a topic for it, the most prominent of which is the novelist Mustafa Sepetçioğlu's trilogy (1932- 2006 AD): "Çanakkale: The Dardanelles," which was published in 1989.
