Developed from 2008, the blockchain is, first and foremost, a technology for storing and transmitting information. This technology offers high standards of transparency and security because it works without a central control body. The blockchain allows its users- connected in a network - to share data without an intermediary. For the precursors, the opportunities for added value are not lacking. Algerian companies can derive significant value from the sole use of the blockchain as a transaction management platform without involving electronic money. This article aims to demonstrate the interest for Algeria to adopt this technology, its advantages and its limits. Développée à partir de 2008, la blockchain est, en premier lieu, une technologie de stockage et de transmission d’informations. Cette technologie offre de hauts standards de transparence et de sécurité car elle fonctionne sans organe central de contrôle. La blockchain permet à ses utilisateurs- connectés en réseau- de partager des données sans intermédiaire. Pour les précurseurs, les opportunités de valeur ajoutée ne manquent pas. Les entreprises algériennes peuvent en retirer une valeur importante par la seule utilisation de la blockchain comme une plateforme de gestion des transactions sans faire intervenir la monnaie électronique.
