The current paper undertakes to inquire ethnographically the negative roles of cultural globalization (namely, communication technology and social media) on the traditional Algerian family. It is widely acknowledge that cultural globalization serves different purposes according to what the stakeholders want from it. it is perceived that through communication technology and social media the manipulation of societies culturally, economically, and identity wise. The imposition of Western socio-cultural values on traditional families would eventually lead to the disintegration of national identity and giving way to foreign cultural values to take over. |
