|a تعتبر رحلة الشهاب الحجري الملقب أفوقاي، من الوثائق التاريخية المهمة التي أرحت لحدث إجلاء الموريسكيين من الأندلس، وهي المصدر الوحيد الذي حفظ لنا شئيا من سيرته وأخباره بالإضافة لرسائله وتدويناته البالغة الأهمية، وذلك بعد أن أهملت المصادر ذكره وفقدت آثاره، وتتعلق أهمية هذا البحث بالظرف التاريخي بالغ الأهمية الذي ألف خلاله المؤلف رحلته وكتب رسائله إبان قرار إبعاد المسلمين وتهجيرهم من بلاد الأندلس، ودور الرحلة التوثيقي لحوادث الحقبة الأخيرة من تاريخ الوجود الإسلامي في تلك الديار، خاصة أنها كتبت من قبل موريسكي شاهد عيان عايش حوادث الإجلاء والإقصاء للمسلمين هناك، فضلا عن توثيق الرحلة لجهوده ونتاجه العلمي.
|b The journey book (Rihlat al-Shihāb al-Hajari) of al-Shihāb al Hajari nicknamed Afūqāy is considered one of the important historical documents that chronicled the event of the expulsion of the Moriscos from al-Andalus, and it is the only source that preserved for us something from his biography and his news in addition to his letters and writings that are very important, after the sources neglected his mention and lost his traces. The significance of this research relates to an extremely important historical circumstance, during which the author authored his book (Rihlat al-Shihāb al-Hajari) and wrote his letters, when the decision to deport and displace Muslims from al- Andalus was made, Also, it relates relates to the documentary role played by the journey in documenting the events of the last period of the Islamic presence history in that land, especially since it was written by a Morisco, an eyewitness who lived through the events of deportation and displacement exclusion of Muslims there, as well as the journey documented his efforts and scientific output.
