هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على مفهوم الوظيفة الثالثة للجامعة، وبيان أبعاد الوظيفة الثالثة للجامعة، كما حاولت بيان المأمول من الوظيفة الثالثة للجامعة، وقد استخدمت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، وخرجت بعدد من النتائج من أبرزها: - - من خلال الاطلاع على البحوث والرسائل العلمية في الجامعات السعودية؛ تبين أن هناك جملة من المعوقات التي تحول دون توظيف نتائجها في خدمة المجتمع. - لا يمكن للجامعة أن تقوم بدورها ما لم تلتزم بقضايا المجتمع، ومتطلبات نموه وازدهاره؛ فالهدف من إنشاء هذه المؤسسة يكمن في تنمية الأمة، من حيث المساهمة في توفير الفرص بصفة عامة، وتحسين المعيشة من حيث نوعيتها، وتلبية احتياجات المجتمع الأكثر إلحاحا. - وجود أزمة في توظيف البحث العلمي في التنمية بالدول العربية عامة وتتعدد مظاهرها، وتتنوع أسبابها وتختلف الحلول المطروحة أو المقترحة بها باختلاف مواقع أصحابها الاجتماعية وانتماءاتها الفكرية والسياسية. توصيات الدراسة: في ضوء ما توصلت إليه هذه الدراسة من نتائج؛ فإن الباحث يوصي بما يلي: - تعزيز العلاقة بين الجامعة ومؤسسات المجتمع، لمعرفة قضايا المجتمع المستجدة، ومساهمة الجامعة في تقديم الحلول التي تسهم في حل تلك القضايا؛ من خلال إقامة الندوات التي يتم فيها تعريف مؤسسات المجتمع بوظيفة الجامعة الثالثة. - ضرورة تفعيـل نتائج البحوث فـي الجامعـات بنقلهـا إلى قيـم ملموسـة يسـتفيد منهـا المجتمـع بكافة قطاعاته؛ من خلال التسويق لنتائج البحوث العلمية في مؤسسات المجتمع. - نشر الوعي بين أفراد المجتمع لبيان أهمية البحث العلمي في دراسة قضايا المجتمع، ومعالجة مشكلاته؛ وذلك من خلال عقد لقاءات تعريفية بدور الجامعة، وفتح قنوات تواصل بين الجامعة والمجتمع.
The study aims to identify the concept of the university's third function and explain its dimensions. It also tried to explain what is expected of the university's third function. The study used the descriptive analytical approach and produced a number of results, most notably: - By looking at research and scientific theses in Saudi universities, it was found that several obstacles prevent the use of their results in community service. - The university cannot play its role unless it is committed to the issues of society and the requirements of its growth and prosperity. The purpose of establishing this institution is to develop the nation in terms of contributing to providing opportunities in general, improving the quality of living, and meeting the most urgent needs of society. - There is a crisis in the use of scientific research in development in Arab countries in general. Its manifestations are many. Its causes vary and the solutions offered or proposed vary according to the social positions of the individuals and their intellectual and political affiliations. Study recommendations: In light of the findings of this study, the researcher recommends the following: - Strengthening the relationship between the university and community institutions in order to identify emerging community issues, and the university's contribution to providing solutions that contribute to solving these issues by holding seminars in which community institutions are introduced to the university's third function. - It also recommended activating research results in universities by transferring them to tangible values for the benefit of society in all its sectors by marketing the results of scientific research in community institutions. - Raising awareness among community members to explain the importance of scientific research in studying community issues and addressing its problems by holding meetings to introduce the role of the university and opening channels of communication between the university and the community.
