المستخلص: The aim of this paper is to study the use of the ara particle as an introductory element of an aoristic relative clause in Kabyle, more particularly in the Tizi-Ghennif dialect. In the latter, this particle usually manifests itself under its ad/a variant, this, unlike other Kabyle dialects, where the ara variant is compulsory in such context. Therefore, we will attempt to demonstrate whether there is a semantic difference between the ara and ad/a variants or they are interchangeable in this use.

L’objectif de cet article, c’est d’étudier l’emploi de la particule ‘‘ara’’ en tant qu’élément introducteur d’une proposition relative aoristique en kabyle, plus particulièrement dans le parler de Tizi-Ghennif. Dans celui-ci, cette particule se manifeste, généralement, sous sa variante ‘‘ad/a’’, cela, contrairement aux autres parlers kabyles, où la variante ‘‘ara’’ est obligatoire dans ce contexte. Par conséquent, nous tenterons de démontrer s’il ya une différence sémantique entre la variante ‘‘ara’’ et ‘‘ad/a’’ ou ce sont uniquement des variantes dans cet emploi.
