تناول البحث الأثر الاقتصادي لمدينة أم درمان على ريفها الشمالي. هدف البحث إلى التعرف على أثر مدينة أم درمان على التركيب المحصولي في ريفها الشمالي كما هدف البحث إلى معرفة أثرها في تمويل العمليات الزراعية في ريفها الشمالي. ومناقشة إلى أي مدى تشكل مدينة أم درمان السوق الرئيس لبيع المنتجات الزراعية وشراء احتياجات سكان ريفها الشمالي. استخدم البحث مناهج متعددة منها المنهج التاريخي والمنهج الإحصائي التحليلي. أظهرت نتائج البحث أن لمدينة أم درمان أثراً كبيراً في نوع المحاصيل الزراعية بالمنطقة وتمويل العمليات الزراعية وتوفير مدخلات الانتهاج الزراعي وتعتبر السوق الرئيس لشراء احتياجات السكان بالمنطقة وسوقا لتصريف منتجاتهم الزراعية والحيوانية. ومن أهم التوصيات التي توصل إليها البحث توفير الثلاجات بالمنطقة لحفظ المحاصيل سريعة التلف لتشجع المزارع لزيادة الإنتاج.
Abstract this research investigates economic impact of Omdurman city on its northern rural areas. It aimed at identifying the impact of Omdurman on determining the crops of its northern rural areas, the research also aimed at exploring its role in funding agricultural processes in its northern rural areas. Further, the research attempts to discuss the extent to which Omdurman shapes the main market for sealing agricultural products for the residents of these rural areas. The research adopted several approaches embraced the historical and statistical analytic approaches. The findings revealed that Omdurman has a great impact on; first, determining the crops of its northern rural areas, second, it plays an important role in funding agricultural processes as well as providing resources of income for residents. Third, Omdurman is the main market for getting the needs of people in this area as well as being a market for selling the products of those people in these rural areas. The study recommended refrigerators for conserving fresh fast foods to encourage increasing productivity.
