|a يتناول موضوع السياسة الخارجية السعودية تجاه الصومال بين الأعوام (1960 -2018)، جانبا مهما من تاريخ العلاقات السعودية الصومالية التي عرفت بروابط تاريخية بعيدة المدى تنبع من منطلقات جغرافية ودينية وثقافية، وبحكم المكانة المحورية التي تحتلها السعودية كقوة إقليمية فاعلة في منطقة الشرق الأوسط، والموقع الاستراتيجي الذي يوفره موقع الصومال الجغرافي الذي يطل على مضيق باب المندب من الجانب الإفريقي، تميزت طبيعة العلاقات بين الجانبين في غلبة الجانب الاقتصادي والاستراتيجي بحكم الامتداد الجغرافي وما يرافق تلك الأهمية من عمق إستراتيجي لأمن واستقرار السعودية.
|b The topic of Saudi foreign policy towards Somalia between the years (1960-2018) deals with an important aspect of the history of Saudi-Somali relations, which were known for long-term historical ties stemming from geographical, religious and cultural grounds, and by virtue of the pivotal position that Saudi Arabia occupies as an active regional power in the Middle East, and The strategic location provided by the geographical location of Somalia, which overlooks the Bab al-Mandab Strait from the African side. The nature of the relations between the two sides was characterized by the predominance of the economic and strategic aspect by virtue of the geographical extension and the accompanying strategic importance for the security and stability of Saudi Arabia.
