المستخلص: Intended to boost intra-African trade on the one hand, and to accelerate a better integration of Africa into world trade on the other hand, the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) is the translation of an ambitious vision of the African States to materialize the convergence and integration efforts undertaken by the various Regional Economic Communities. Although it is premature to make an objective assessment of the impact of the AfCFTA on the dynamics of African regional integration, this research paper will attempt to estimate, through the gravity model, the export potential of Algeria to African countries and the opportunities for the launch of the AfCFTA, while remaining attentive to various constraints such as the persistence of many pre-existing external tariffs, political barriers (borders and sovereignty), conflicts and other threats to peace, etc.

Destinée à dynamiser le commerce intra-africain, d’une part, et à accélérer une meilleure insertion de l’Afrique dans le commerce mondial d’autre part, la ZLECAF est la traduction d’une vision ambitieuse des Etats africains à matérialiser les efforts de convergence et d’intégration entrepris par les différentes communautés économiques régionales. Bien qu’il soit prématuré de porter une évaluation objective de l’impact de la ZLECAF sur la dynamique d’intégration régionale africaine, ce papier de recherche tentera d’estimer, à traves le modèle de gravité, le potentiel d’exportation de l’Algérie vers les pays africains et les opportunités de la mise en route de la ZLECAF, en restant attentifs aux contraintes diverses telles que la persistance de nombreux tarifs extérieurs préexistants, les barrières politiques (frontières et souveraineté), les conflits et autres menaces à la paix, etc.
