المستخلص: فلا أراني مغاليا ولا مبالغا إذا ما قلت إن العربية لغة لا تنتهي أسرارها، ولا تنقضي عجائبها ولا تحصى خصائصها، وعلى الرغم من تعاقب العلماء عليها جيلا بعد جيل، وانتهت آجالهم ما زال الكثير من المباحث اللغوية ولا سيما النحوية منها به حاجة إلى مزيد من الكشف والبيان والتحليل، ولعل من هذه الخصائص ظاهرة (إصلاح اللفظ) التي أشار إليها عرضا أبو علي الفارسي (ت ۳۷۷هـ)، وتلقفها منه تلميذه ابن جني (ت ۳۹۲هـ) وعقد لها بابا في خصائصه سماه( باب في إصلاح اللفظ)، بيد أنه لم يكن ليفصل القول في أسبابها ووسائلها، وإنما اكتفى بعرض أمثلة كثيرة لها، نقلها عنه السيوطي (ت ٩١١هـ) في الأشباه والنظائر وزاد عليها ما ذكره ابن يعيش (ت ٦٤٣هـ ) من أمثلة أخرى لها. وقد تصدى لهذه الظاهرة عدد من الباحثين ووقفوا على أسبابها ووسائلها، وعلى الرغم من ذلك لم أجد أحدا - في حدود ما اطلعت عليه - من قبل ولا من بعد قد أشار إلى ظاهرة إصلاح اللفظ بـ (الواو) أبدا، فجاء هذا البحث بعنوان (إصلاح اللفظ وتزيينه بالواو في العربية) لاستجلاء مواضع هذه الوسيلة، واستكمالا لما ذكره العلماء والباحثون. وقد انقاد لي من هذه الظاهرة - بعد البحث والاستقصاء - مجموعة من المسائل رتبتها على وفق النظام الألفبائي، يسبقها تمهيد وتعقبها نتائج البحث، والله ولي التوفيق.

Praise be to God who taught with the pen, and honored the pens with the oath, and prayers and peace be upon the greatest prophet, Abi Al-Qasim Muhammad, the envoy to the best of nations, and his family who gathered to the best deed and good speech. But after: I do not see me exaggerating or exaggerating if I say that Arabic is a language whose secrets do not end, its wonders do not pass, and its characteristics are countless, and despite the succession of scholars on it generation after generation, and their deadlines have expired, many linguistic investigations, especially grammatical ones, still need more disclosure. And the statement and analysis, and perhaps of these characteristics phenomenon (Reforming the pronunciation) to which Abu Ali Al-Faris (d. 377 AH) casually referred to it, and his student Ibn Jinni (d. 392 AH) picked it up from him. There are many of them, Al-Suyuti (d. 911 AH) transmitted them from him in the similarities and isotopes, and added to them what Ibn Yaish (d. 643 AH) mentioned of other examples of them. A number of researchers have dealt with this phenomenon and examined its causes and means, and in spite of that, I did not find anyone - within the limits of what I have seen - before or after, who referred to the means of reforming the pronunciation with (Waw) at all, so this research came under the title (Reforming the pronunciation And decorating it with a waw in Arabic) to clarify the locations of this method, and to complement what scholars and researchers have mentioned. I was saved from this phenomenon - after research and investigation - a group of issues arranged according to the alphabetical system, preceded by a preliminary and followed by the results of the research, and God is the Grantor of success.
