المستخلص: يستهدف البحث بصفة رئيسية التعرف على المردود الاجتماعي والاقتصادي لتطبيق الممارسات الزراعية الموصي بها بين قادة زراع الكتان في بعض قري محافظة الغربية، والتعرف على المعوقات التي تواجههم، والحلول المقترحة من وجهة نظرهم للتغلب عليها، تم جميع البيانات خلال شهر أغسطس 2021 بواسطة استمارة استبيان بالمقابلة الشخصية مع العينة البحثية من قادة زراع الكتان البالغ قوامها 152 مبحوثا تم اختيارهم بطريقة عشوائية بسيطة من سبعة قرى بمعدل قرية من كل مركز من المراكز الإدارية التالية: طنطا، والمحلة الكبرى، وكفر الزيات، وقطور، وسمنود، والسنطة، وزفتى. استخدمت التكرارات، والنسب المئوية، واختبار معامل الارتباط البسيط، واختبار z_score كأدوات إحصائية لشرح وتفسير النتائج. وكانت أهم النتائج على النحو التالي: 1- 60% من إجمالي المبحوثين تشملهم فئة مستوى المردود الاجتماعي والاقتصادي المنخفض لتطبيق المبحوثين للممارسات الموصي بها لمحصول الكتان، مقابل 37.4 % من إجمالي المبحوثين في فئة مستوى المردود الاجتماعي والاقتصادي المتوسط. ٢- توجد علاقة ارتباطية معنوية عند مستوى 0.05 بين المتغير المستقل المتمثل في درجة استفادة المبحوثين من تطبيق الممارسات الموصي بها في زراعة الكتان- وبين المتغير التابع الأول المتمثل في المردود الاجتماعي على المبحوثين من تطبيقهم لهذه الممارسات. ٣- توجد علاقة ارتباطية معنوية عند مستوى 0.05 بين المتغير المستقل المتمثل في درجة استفادة المبحوثين من تطبيق الممارسات الموصي بها في زراعة الكتان- وبين المتغير التابع الثاني المتمثل في المردود الاقتصادي على المبحوثين من تطبيقهم لهذه الممارسات. ٤- من أهم المعوقات الاجتماعية لتحسين المردود الاجتماعي والاقتصادي للمبحوثين الأمية والعادات والتقاليد، ومن أهم المعوقات الاقتصادية انخفاض سعر المحصول، صغر حجم الحيازة الأرضية، انخفاض الإمكانيات المادية، ومن أهم المعوقات الفنية قلة وجود حلول لمعوقات استمرار المشروعات الصغيرة على منتج الكتان، وقصور تحديث المحتوى للنشرة الإرشادية بما يتناسب مع الظروف المناخية، وصعوبة الأسلوب المستخدم أثناء شرح الممارسة، وقصور الملصقات الإرشادية في التعبير عن الممارسات المطلوبة.

The research aims mainly to identify the social and economic impact by applying the recommended agricultural practices among the farmer leaders' growers of flax in some villages of Gharbiah Governorate, identifying the obstacles they face, and the suggestions solutions from their point of view to overcome them. Data were collected during the month of August 2021 by means of a personal interview questionnaire with the research sample of the leaders of flax growers which amounted to 152 respondents who were selected in a simple random way from seven villages, it was seleted one village from each of the following administrative districts: Tanta, Almahallah Alkubra, Kafrelzayat, Kutour, Samannoud, Alsdantah, and Zefta. Frequencies, percentages, simple correlation coefficient test, and z_score test were used as statistical tools to explain and interpret the results. The most important results were as follows: 1- 60% of the total respondents are included in the category of low level of social and economic return by applying the recommended agricultural practices for flax crop, compared to 37.4% of the total respondents in the category of medium level of social and economic return. 2- There is a significant correlation relationship at the 0.05 level between the independent variable represented in the degree of the respondents benefit from the application of the recommended practices in flax cultivation - and the first dependent variable represented in the social return on the respondents from their application of these practices. 3- There is a significant correlation relationship at the 0.05 level between the independent variable represented in the degree of the respondents benefit from the application of the recommended practices in flax cultivation - and the first dependent variable represented in the economic return on the respondents from their application of these practices. 4- One of the most important socials obstacles for improving the social and economic returns of the respondents are illiteracy, customs and traditions. The most important economic obstacles are the low price of the crop, small size of land tenure, low material capabilities. the most important technical obstacles, the lack of solutions to the obstacles to the continuation of small projects on the small product, the lack of updating the content the guidance leaflet in proportion to the climatic changes, difficulty of the method used while explaining the practice, and the inadequacy of the guidance posters in expressing.
