يركز موضوع هذا البحث على علاقة الفرد بالمجتمع وتعزيزها، للحد من الجريمة، كما تؤكد ذلك نظرية الضبط الاجتماعي. ويسعى إلى تحقيق عدد من الأهداف، أبرزها: التعرف إلى مدى وجود ارتباط بين علاقة الفرد بالمجتمع وارتكاب السلوك الإجرامي، وكيفية تعزيز علاقة الفرد بمجتمعه، بجانب العوامل المساعدة في نجاح البرامج والخدمات المؤسسية التي يقدمها المجتمع لأفراده. وقد استخدم الباحث منهج المسح الاجتماعي (الكيفي) في دراسته، وهذا المنهج يعد أبرز المناهج العلمية، ويستخدم حين يكون عدد أفراد مجتمع البحث محدودا، لأخذ آرائهم بعمق، عن ظاهرة معينة. وتمثل مجتمعه في المتخصصين بعلم الجريمة من قسم العلوم الاجتماعية في كلية الملك فهد الأمنية، وبلغ عددهم خمسة أشخاص، واستخدمت المقابلة المعمقة الفردية والجماعية. وتوصل البحث إلى عدد من النتائج، أبرزها: أن العلاقة بين الفرد والمجتمع علاقة تبادلية، وأنه كلما قويت هذه العلاقة قلت احتمالية ارتكاب الأفراد للسلوك الإجرامي، وأن من العوامل التي تسهم في تعزيز علاقة الفرد بمجتمعه؛ التنشئة الاجتماعية السليمة للأبناء، والاهتمام بالأسرة، وتلبية متطلبات واحتياجات الأفراد، خاصة الأساسية منها، ومساعدتهم في حل مشكلاتهم، إضافة إلى تحقيق أهدافهم، وكذلك الاهتمام بالفئات الخاصة، كالأيتام والأرامل والمعاقين، إلى جانب الاهتمام بالفئات المنحرفة، لإصلاحهم وتأهيلهم. كما أن من العوامل المساعدة في نجاح البرامج والخدمات المجتمعية: الاستقرار الأمني، والاقتصادي، وتطبيق القانون على الجميع بالعدل والمساواة، ومنح الفرص المتكافئة لأفراد المجتمع دون تحيز لفرد أو فئة.
This research focuses on the relationship between an individual and society. It promotes this relationship by claiming that it reduces crime, as confirmed by social control theory. The research aimed to achieve a number of objectives, most notably: Identifying the extent of the link between an individual, society and the commission of crime, how to enhance the relationship between the individual and his/her society and the factors that help in the success of programs and institutional services provided by the community to its members. The researcher used a social survey because it is the most elementary tool of qualitative research techniques used when in-depth views of a limited number of the sample are taken on a particular phenomenon. This research was conducted by using a single and group in-depth interview with five criminologists at the Social Sciences Department. The research reached a number of findings. First, there is a reciprocal relationship between the individual and society, the stronger the relationship, the less likely individuals are to commit criminal conduct. Furthermore, there are many factors that help strengthening the relationship between the individual and his/ her society such as proper socialization of children, concern for the family by fulfilling their needs, care for special groups including orphans especially special needs of individuals, reform and rehabilitation of offender behavior. Moreover, other factors include Security and economic stability, fair and equal application of the law to all, and equal opportunities for members of society without prejudice to an individual or group.
