المستخلص: This research constitutes a critical reading of a book published in 2016 entitled "Secrets of Africa. The testimony of an ambassador" written by the French diplomat Jean-Marc Simon, who worked in several African countries during the reign of four presidents of the French Republic. This diplomat has witnessed several internal and intra-African conflicts, but he has also been an active player in the resolution and management of these crises. He deals with various important issues and files at the African level throughout his career as a diplomat on the African continent.

Cette recherche constitue une lecture critique d'un ouvrage publié en 2016 intitulé "Secrets d'Afrique. Le témoignage d'un ambassadeur" écrit par le diplomate français Jean-Marc Simon, qui a travaillé dans plusieurs pays africains pendant le règne de quatre présidents de la République française. Ce diplomate a été témoin de plusieurs conflits internes et intra-africains, mais il a également été un acteur actif dans la résolution et la gestion de ces crises. Il traite diverses questions et dossiers importants au niveau africain tout au long de sa carrière de diplomate sur le continent africain.
