المستخلص: In the history of photography, the representation of reality is a complicated issue that deserves to be explored in greater depth. Moreover, any photographic image is a record of reality, a trace of what was in the camera's viewing angle. Like a footprint on the sand, this luminous trace is printed directly in the emulsion of a film, or today, in the digital sensor. First of all, photography is used as a tool to reproduce reality, then as an instrument to explore reality, and finally as a medium to inspire reflection on reality. Each process shows the different aspects of reality in photography, precisely in photographic documentary which is defined as a medium, combining between documentary art and the search for a form of theatricality of the representation of everyday life. This medium has become the main real provider of our representations.

Dans l’histoire de la photographie, la représentation de la réalité est une question compliquée qui mérite d’être explorée plus en profondeur. De plus, toute image photographique est un enregistrement de la réalité, une trace de ce qui s'est trouvé dans l'angle de vision de l'appareil. Comme une empreinte de pas sur le sable, cette trace lumineuse s'imprime directement dans l'émulsion d'un film, ou aujourd'hui, dans le capteur numérique. Tout d’abord, la photographie est utilisée comme un outil pour reproduire la réalité, puis comme un instrument pour creuser la réalité, et enfin comme un médium pour inspirer la réflexion sur la réalité. Chaque processus montre les différents aspects de la réalité en photographie, précisément en documentaire photographique qui se définit comme un médium, combinant entre l’art documentaire et la recherche d’une forme de théâtralité de la représentation du quotidien. Ce médium est devenu le principal pourvoyeur en réel de nos représentations.
