تكمن أبرز ملامح الفكر الاقتصادي لولي العهد محمد بن سلمان والتي جسدها من خلال رؤية المملكة ۲۰۳۰ في تبنيه فكر الانتقال من الاقتصاد الريعي إلى اقتصاد السوق الحر، واخراج المملكة العربية السعودية من الاعتماد على الاقتصاد النفطي الى الاقتصاد التجاري المرتبط بالسوق الحر والذي يعتمد على الصناعة والسياحة تفاديا لهبوط أسعار النفط. رؤية السعودية ۲۰٣٠ تسعى الى تحرير الاقتصاد السعودي من الاعتماد على النفط، بعد أن شكلت عائداته نحو ٩٠% من إجمالي الميزانية السعودية، وذلك عن طريق تنفيذ برامج اقتصادية وتنموية تنقذ الاقتصاد السعودي من تبعات التراجع المفاجئ لأسعار النفط وتستهدف الانتقال بالسعودية لمرحلة ما بعد النفط، وذلك بتحقيق اقتصاد مزدهر ومجتمع حيوي، ووطن طموح، كما نص إعلان إطلاقها، ويشكل مشروع نيوم احدى أهم هذه المشاريع التي تم الإعلان عنها لتحقيق رؤية ٢٠٣٠ وهي عبارة عن منطقة خاصة تسعى لتصبح مكانا يجمع أفضل العقول والشركات معا لتخطي حدود الابتكار إلى أعلى المستويات. وقد تم تصميم هذه المنطقة الخاصة لتتفوق على المدن العالمية الكبرى من حيث القدرة التنافسية ونمط المعيشة إلى جانب الفرص الاقتصادية المتميزة إذ من المتوقع أن تصبح مركزا رائدا للعالم بأسره وقد تم تحديد تسعة قطاعات اقتصادية رئيسة لتأسيس الحضور الاقتصادي للمشروع تتمثل في: مستقبل الطاقة والمياه، مستقبل التنقل، مستقبل التقنيات الحيوية، مستقبل الغذاء، مستقبل العلوم التقنية والرقمية، مستقبل التصنيع المتطور، مستقبل الإعلام والإنتاج الإعلامي مستقبل الترفيه، ومستقبل المعيشة كركيزة أساسية لباقي القطاعات. في هذا الإطار يندرج هذا البحث الذي يسعى الى دراسة الفكر الاقتصادي لمحمد بن سلمان من خلال مشروع نيوم ودوره في تحقيق رؤية ۲۰۳۰

Saudi Vision 2030 seeks to liberate the Saudi economy from dependence on oil, after its revenues constituted about 90% of the total Saudi budget, through the implementation of economic and development programs that save the Saudi economy from the consequences of the sudden decline in oil prices and aims to move Saudi Arabia to the post-oil stage, and that By achieving a prosperous economy, a vibrant society, and an ambitious nation, as stated in its launch announcement. The NEOM project is one of the most important of these projects announced to achieve Vision 2030, which is a special area that seeks to become a place that brings the best minds and companies together to cross the boundaries of innovation to the highest levels. This special zone has been designed to outperform major global cities in terms of competitiveness and lifestyle, as well as distinguished economic opportunities, as it is expected to become a leading center for the entire world. Nine major economic sectors have been identified to establish the economic presence of the project, which are: The future of energy and water The future of mobility, the future of biotechnologies, the future of food, the future of technical and digital sciences, the future of advanced manufacturing, the future of media and media production, the future of entertainment, and the future of living as a basic pillar for the rest of the sectors. Within this framework, this research, which seeks to study the economic thought of Muhammad bin Salman through the NEOM project, and its role in achieving the 2030 vision, falls within this framework.
