المستخلص: لا يزال الإنسان يبحث عن كينونته منذ أن أدرك العالم. وقد سعى بشتى الطرق والوسائل فك شفراته ومغاليقه لأجل السيطرة عليه وإخضاعه لإرادته، مما أسس لعلاقة جدلية تقوم على الصراع الذي بدا متشعبا نظرا للغموض الذي وسمه. ولما كان الإنسان تواقدا إلى المعرفة ومتطلعا دوما إلى السمو، ولا يتحقق ذلك إلا بشرطي الإصرار والتحدي تحدي كل المعوقات التي تقف حائلا أمام معرفة كنه الوجود ودور الإنسان فيه لنحت مصيره وكيانه، وإصرار على تثبيت رؤاه وأفكاره على أرض الواقع. وفي هذه الحالة ابتدع لنفسه وسائط للنفاذ إلى غياهب المجهول وتفكيك شفراته. ومن هذه الوسائط نذكر الأدب الذي عد وسيلة من بين الوسائل التي يمكن استيعاب الكون من خلالها وفهم معناه. وهنا تتجلى قدرته على الفعل في العالم والمحيط وصنع التاريخ. فالعلاقة المتشابكة بين الإنسان من جهة، والكون من جهة أخرى، ولدت الحيرة والدهشة لدى الفلاسفة والمفكرين الغربيين في المرحلة الأولى لتنتقل إلى العرب والمسلمين في المرحلة الموالية. وتتعلق أساسا بفهم كينونة الإنسان، فالكينونة تعنى الحياة بمفهومها الشامل، وهي الوجود فأن نكون يعنى أن نعيش ونتواجد فالكينونة والوجود مترادفان تمثلان تعبيرا عن مختلف نواحي الحياة التي لها أسسها في الكينونة. ففهمها يقتضي فهم علاقتها بالظواهر التي نعيش فيها وهو ما يقودنا إلى طرح السؤال الآتي كيف يمكننا أن نميز الوجود عن الموجود؟ فالوجود الذي نعيش فيه هو مجرد وغير محسوس، في حين أن الموجود هو الملموس الواقعي وهذه المعرفة تتطلب منا إدراك جميع الظواهر المحيطة بنا. غير أن ذلك يبدو من الصعوبة بمكان باعتبار تشعب هذه الظواهر، لذلك بقي الإنسان دائم السؤال عن ماهية الكون وكيفية السيطرة عليه، والبحث عن الوسائل الممكنة لفهمه، وككل المفكرين والفلاسفة، فإن محمود المسعدي الذي تلقى تعليما غربيا حديثا وتشبع من مناهل الفلسفة الوجودية والآداب العالمية انشغل بالوجودية وتأثر بها أيما تأثر وجاءت أغلب كتاباته ورواياته تدور في فلك هذه القضية الهامة في " السد" و"مولد النسيان" و "حدث أبو هريرة قال..." و"تأصيلا لكيان" و " من أيام عمران" هي جملة الآثار والروايات الفكرية التي ترجمت رؤى الأديب المسعدي ومكنته من طرح تصوراته للوجود ودور الإنسان في تحديد ماهيته باعتباره كائنا عاقلا قادرا على مواجهة كل المصاعب والعراقيل التي تعترضه.

Man has been searching for his being since he realized the world. And he sought in various ways and means to decipher his codes and locks to control him and subjugate him to his will, which established a dialectical relationship based on the conflict that seemed to be divergent due to the ambiguity that characterized it. And since man is eager for knowledge and always aspires to loftiness, and this can only be achieved on the conditions of persistence and challenge, challenging all the obstacles that stand in the way of knowing the nature of existence and the role of man in it to carve his destiny and his being, and insisting on establishing his visions and ideas on the ground of reality. In this case, he devised means for himself to penetrate the depths of the unknown and decipher its codes. Among these media, we mention literature, which is considered a mechanism and a means among the means through which the universe can be understood, and its meaning understood. Here, his ability to act in the world and the surroundings and to make history is evident. The intertwined relationship between man on the one hand, and the universe on the other hand, generated confusion and astonishment among Western philosophers and thinkers in the first stage, to be transmitted to Arabs and Muslims in the next stage. It mainly relates to understanding human being, as being means life in its comprehensive sense, which is existence, so to be means to live and exist. Being and existence are synonymous, representing an expression of the various aspects of life that have their foundations in being. Knowing it requires understanding its relationship to the phenomena in which we live, which leads us to ask the following question: How can we distinguish existence from existing? The existence in which we live is abstract and imperceptible, while the existent is the real tangible, and this knowledge requires us to be aware of all the phenomena surrounding us. However, this seems very difficult given the ramifications of these phenomena, so man has always kept asking about the nature of the universe and how to control it and searching for possible means to understand it. Existentialism was influenced by it, and most of his writings and novels revolved around this important issue, so “The Dam”, “The Birth of Oblivion”, “The event of Abu Hurairah said...”, “The Origination of an Entity” and “From the Days of Imran” are among the intellectual monuments and narratives Which translated the visions of the writer Al-Masadi and enabled him to present his perceptions of existence and the role of man in determining what he is as a rational being capable of facing all the difficulties and obstacles that he encounters.
