يعالج البحث محورين لأساسيين مرتبط كلاهما بالآخر، لكونهما ينبثقان من مصدر واحد، فحواه شخصية الشاعر، وعلاقة هذه الشخصية بعنصر محوري يتمثل في صورة الناقة، مما حدا بنا إلى تناول العنصرين على أساس متكامل، وفي المحور الأول عالجنا بناء شخصية الشاعر، وتجنبنا في دراستنا لشخصية طرفة السرد التاريخية لسيرته الذاتية المبثوثة في كتب الأدب والتراجم، مقتصرين البحث في هذا الجانب على تكوين شاعرية طرفة من خلال التركيز على الجانب النفسي والاجتماعي فقصرنا البحث في هذه الزاوية على أربعة عناصر هي: 1- عنصر الوراثة. 2- عنصر الاكتساب. 3- الخبرات الاجتماعية. 4- الإطار المعضد لعامل الطبع. وقد حاولنا -في دراستنا لعناصر الأربعة -تعضيدها بالأمثلة والشواهد من حياة طرفة وشعره. أما المحور الثاني فقد عالج صورة الناقة في شعر طرفة معضدا بالإحصائيات والشواهد الشعرية المؤيدة لذلك، وتبيان المراحل التي مرت بها صورة الناقة في شعره. خالصين إلى نتيجة نعتقد من خلالها؛ أن صورة الناقة -وفي ظل أحوالها المختلفة -تمثل تجربة طرفة الحياتية بكل أبعادها الجمالية، والمأساوية؛ التي لا يمكن دراستها بمعزل عن الشاعر، لكونها تمثل طرفة في مختلف مراحل حياته القصيرة.
The research at hand handles two basic areas both of which are related to each other because they are evolving from one source. This source contains the character of the poet and its relationship with a central element exists in the picture of a camel. This has encouraged us to handle both of these two elements on a complete foundation. In the first area, we have dealt with the construction of the character of the poet 'Torfa ebn Alabd' and avoided the historical literature about his biography which is mentioned in the literature. We are restricting our research to the formation of Torfa's poetic ability with emphasis on the psychological and social aspects. The research contains, hum this angle, the following four elements 1-Inheritance element. 2-Acquisition element. 3-Social experiences. 4-The framework that consolidates habitual element. We have tried to consolidate these elements with examples and views from the life of Torfa and his poetry. The second area, on the other hand, has dealt with the picture of the camel in the poetry of Torfa. This has been substantiated with statistics and poetical examples which support this. The stages in which the picture of the camel has gone through, in his poetry, have been illustrated. We have reached a conclusion, from which we believe that the picture of the camel through its different situations, illustrates the poet's life experience with its beauty and tragic angles that cannot be studied without the poet himself because it exemplifies Torfa in the different stages of this short life.
